Is there a free trial?
The Free plan is available indefinitely — no trial expiry, no credit card. You can upgrade at any time as your needs grow.
How does billing work during Closed Beta?
During Closed Beta, plan upgrades are processed manually within one business day. We will send payment instructions via email. Automated billing via card is coming soon.
Can I change plans?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your account settings. Downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period.
What counts as an AI research search?
Each time you submit a legal research query and receive an AI answer, that counts as one search. Browsing judgment results without asking a question does not count.
Is my matter data private?
Yes. Your matter data is never used to train AI models. Each matter is cryptographically isolated so no other user can access it. See our Security page for full details.
Do you offer academic or NGO pricing?
Yes. Law students, law clinics, and registered NPOs may qualify for discounted access. Contact us at hello@molao.app to apply.
What jurisdictions are covered?
Molao currently covers South Africa (all divisions, Constitutional Court through Magistrates' Court) and Botswana (High Court, Court of Appeal, Industrial Court). Additional jurisdictions are on the roadmap.
