Responsible AI

AI in legal practice — our commitments

AI is the most significant change to legal practice in a generation. We take that responsibility seriously.

AI assists lawyers. Lawyers decide.

Molao is a tool that augments legal judgment — it never replaces it. Every AI output is an input to the lawyer's own analysis, not a substitute for it. The lawyer remains professionally responsible for all work product.

Every output is explainable and traceable

We do not accept 'the AI said so' as sufficient. Every Molao conclusion links to a real source — a real judgment, a real section of legislation, a real fact in the matter. Lawyers must be able to explain their reasoning, and Molao's reasoning must therefore be explainable too.

Client confidentiality is absolute

Matter data belongs to the client. Molao never uses client matter data to train AI models. Matter data is isolated per user. Access to a matter requires ownership verification at every request. We design every feature with attorney-client privilege in mind first.

AI should increase access to justice

One of the most unjust aspects of legal systems is that quality legal representation depends on ability to pay. Molao is designed to reduce that gap — giving every practitioner, regardless of firm size, access to the same research quality.

Honest about limitations

AI systems make mistakes. Molao flags uncertainty, assigns confidence levels to outputs, and encourages practitioners to verify before relying. We do not overstate what our AI can do. A wrong legal conclusion can destroy a client's case.
